Dixie Edwards Cutchins, 58, of 406 W. Third Ave., died Sat. Jan. 28, 1995, at her home. Mrs. Cutchins was a native of Southampton County and was the widow of Gilbert L. Cutchins. She was a Baptist. Survivors include two daughters, Teresa C. Blount and Marcia C. Osborne, both of Franklin; one son, Ricky G. Cutchins of Bear Creek, N.C.; her mother and stepfather, Virginia and Ray Johnson of Newsoms; four sisters, Anne Porter of Franklin, Betty Ricks of Capron, Kaye Burgess of Boykins and Rebecca Hudson of New York; one brother, Fletcher Edwards Jr. of Suffolk; six grandchildren, Stephanie Cutchins, Brandi Cutchins, Sherry Bradshaw, Keith Kirk, Rachel Osborne and Billie Jo Osborne; one great-granddaughter, Jessika Bradshaw. Mrs. Cutchins was preceded in death by her father, Fletcher Edwards. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday Jan. 30 at Wright Funeral Home by Rev. Kenneth Williams. The burial will be at Southampton Memorial Park . Friends may join the family at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
