Obituary of OTIS BLAINE CRUMPLER JR The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, November 4, 1993 Otis Blaine ''Mickey'' Crumpler Jr., 51, of Route 1, died Nov. 2, 1993, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth. Mr. Crumpler was born in Richmond and was a former resident of Southampton County. He was the son of the late Otis Blaine and Emma Lou Martin Crumpler. He was an electrician with Tally Anchor Sign Co. in Norfolk and a member of the Millfield Baptist Church of Ivor, Va. Survivors include his wife, Alice Faye Carr Crumpler; a daughter, Robin Lynn Humphries of Dinwiddie, Va.; a stepdaughter, Suzanne Hudson of Hawaii; two sons, Otis Blaine Crumpler III and Lin Hayward Crumpler, both of Dinwiddie; two stepsons, David Wayne McKibben of Suffolk and James L. Branch of Portsmouth; two brothers, Vernon H. Crumpler of Zuni, Va., and Michael W. Bales of Sedley, Va.; two nieces, Lora C. Rhodes of Zuni and Sarah Bales of Sedley; two nephews, Adam and Wesley Bales, both of Sedley; and 15 grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Wright Funeral Home of Franklin, Va. by the Rev. Allen L. Dooley and the Rev. Wayne Underwood. Burial will be in the Crumpler family cemetery in Sedley. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and at other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Crumpler of 17365 Black Creek Road, Zuni. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
