He was son of the late Hayes A. and Eva Mack Crowder. He was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church and retired in 1980 from St. Regis Paper Co., Franklin, after 34 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was the husband of the late Lena Marie Rayner Crowder. He is survived by three sons, Tommy Crowder Jr. of Capron, Glenn Crowder and Dennis Crowder, both of Newsoms; three sisters, Susie Lee Lowe of Hunterdale, Gladys Story of Newsoms and Mildred Parker of Colosse; one brother, Hayes A. Crowder Jr. of Newsoms; and six grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Newsoms Baptist Church by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms.
