   SUFFOLK -  John C. Cross Jr., 73, died March 18, 2003. Born May 11, 1929 in Gatesville, N.C., he was the son of the late Irene Munns and John C. Cross Sr.  Mr. Cross served in the Air Force and was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church. He formerly owned Suffolk Towers and for many years was a business accountant and owner of Computer Accounting Services. 
   Survivors include his former wife, Dorothy B. Cross of Suffolk; sons, John C. Cross III, his wife, Lynn Moon and Stephen T. Cross, all of Suffolk; grandchildren, Marie C. Evans and Joshua T. Cross; and great-grandchildren, Andrew J. Webb and Michael L. Evans.
   A funeral will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. H. Vance Mann III with burial in Gatesville Cemetery, Gatesville, N.C.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 20 Interstate Corporate Center, Suite 233, Norfolk, VA 23503-4006.
