A native of Johnson County, N.C., he was the son of the late Dempsey Perry and Rhoda Ann Stancil Creech, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Creech is survived by his wife of 54 years, Edith Boykin Creech; a daughter, Vivian Ann Krieg and husband, Jerry Krieg, of Green Bay, Wis.; a son, John David Creech and wife, Jean Spain Creech of Franklin; and four grandchildren, Stephen Matthew Tarantole, Stephanie Ann Creech, Robert Francis Tarantole and Jonathan David Creech. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Black Creek Baptist Church, Franklin, by the Rev. Willis Switzer. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
