Obituary of Thomas Graham Cox THOMAS GRAHAM COX The Tidewater News - 05 17-2001 WAVERLY - Thomas Graham Cox. 80, died at Sentara Nursing Center, Barco, N.C. May 13. Born Aug. 27, 1921, he was the son of the late Thomas N. Cox and Mamie Brownley Cox of Sussex County. Mr. Cox was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a corporal in the 331st Field Artillery Battalion in World War II. He was also a retired farmer, a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Waverly and husband of the late Elizabeth Stallings Cox. He is survived by a son, William Graham Cox of Charlotte, N.C.; a grandson, William Randolph Cox; two sisters, Helen C. Bain and Janie C. Dickerson, both of Waverly. Graveside services will be held May 16, at noon, in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Yale, with the Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Waverly, Va. 23890.
