   Annie Darden Cotton, 91, of Smith's Ferry Road, Franklin, died Feb. 3, 1993. Mrs. Cotton, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, was the widow of Vernard Preston Cotton. She was a graduate of Farmville State Teachers College and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Caroline F. Brock of Carrsville; two sons, Preston D. Cotton and T. Redelle Cotton, both of Franklin; a brother, Theon A. Darden of Suffolk; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. in Sycamore Baptist Church by the Rev. M. Reginald Warren. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Sycamore Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Building Fund.
