Obituary of Betty Cutchins Cook BETTY CUTCHINS COOK Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - July 6, 2004 Betty Cutchins Cook, 70, widow of Marvin Lewis Cook, died July 5, 2004, at the East Pavilion. A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Landon and Elsie Story Cutchins. Mrs. Cook was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church and a member of the churchs Homemakers Sunday School class. She was the former secretary for Newsoms Farm Supply and Boykins Milling Company, and a former clerk for the Southampton Farm Supply. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela C. Woodard and husband, Melvin of Severn, N.C.; a son, Kenneth W. Cooke and wife, Sandra of Newsoms ; three sisters, Evelyn Cutchins, Mildred Stieh and Linda Daniels, all of Franklin; four grandchildren, Lindsay A. Cooke, Kristen L. Cooke, Landon B. Woodard and L. Wrenn Woodard. Mrs. Cook was predeceased by two sisters, Frances Mumford and Eunice Harrell and two brothers, Dick and Thomas Cutchins. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Newsoms Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Faison and the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. Memorials may be made to the Newsoms Baptist Church, P.O.
