Myrtle Banks Coggsdale, 86, of the Village at Woods Edge, Franklin, Va., died Oct. 26, 1993. 

Mrs. Coggsdale, a native of Winton, N.C., was the widow of Robert Ellis Coggsdale and the daughter of the late Ernest Linwood and Emily Lee Banks. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Franklin. 

Survivors include two sisters, Minta B. Eure and Elizabeth B. Johnston, both of Raleigh, N.C., three nieces and several great-nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 12 noon Friday, October 29, in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Edward Pickup. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 400 N. High St., Franklin, Va. 23851. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, has charge of arrangements.
