A native and lifelong resident of Southampton County, Mr. Cobb was the only child of the late C.D. and Beatrice Turner Cobb and widower of Thelma Davis Cobb. He was a retired farmer and attended Hebron Baptist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Robin Cobb Meyer and her husband, Stephen of Richmond; a son, Randy Paige Cobb and his wife, Elizabeth of Branchville; five grandchildren, Bruce, Jane and Ellen Meyer, Camden and Paige Cobb. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, by the Rev. Edmund Ellis and the Rev. John Davenport. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, at 7 p.m. today and suggests that memorials be made to Boykins Rescue Squad, P.O.
