Frank Raby Clark, 80, of the 31200 block of Askew Street died Dec. 23, 1996, at Southampton Memorial Hospital. 

Born in Southampton County, Mr. Clark was the son of the late George Frank and Mariah Worrell Clark. He retired from Ivor Oil Co. and was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. 

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife of 47 years, Viola Bradshaw Clark; a daughter, Hazel Greene and her husband, R.B., of Franklin; a sister, Adlene McCoy of Newport News; a brother, Eldridge Clark of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Steven Greene and his wife, Hope, of Franklin and Lori Bailey and her husband, Steve, of Courtland; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Greene and Travis and Bradley Bailey. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis Clark, Wilson Clark and Richardson Clark. 

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church by the Rev. Steve Bradshaw. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. Memorial donations may be made to Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Building Fund.
