Obituary of John Henry "Peter" Carr JOHN HENRY "PETER" CARR Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, July 9, 2002 John Henry "Peter" Carr, 66, died July 7, 2002, at his home. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of the late William R. and Lois E. Bradshaw Carr and a retired farmer. Survivors include a son, Mike Carr of Carrsville; three sisters, Virginia Lassiter, Florence Barnes and Oneal Gray, all of Carrsville; two brothers, W.E. "Shotgun" Carr of Carrsville and Frank Carr of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three children. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Sharon James. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
