Edith May Lewis Carr, 91, died Nov. 11, 1991, in a hospital. 

Mrs. Carr was born in Norfolk and was a former resident of Franklin. She was the widow of William Thomas Carr and was a member of Windsor Baptist Church. 

Survivors include two daughters, Gertrude Carr of Franklin and Louise Whisenant of Suffolk; two sisters, Lillian Aldridge of Baltimore and Laura Green of Norfolk; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Eddie Walker. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery . Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
