Mrs. Carr was a native of Southampton County and was the daughter of the late Ezra and Rosa Turner Blythe. She was the widow of Lonnie Carr and Godwyn T. ``Buck'' Kitchen Sr. Mrs. Carr was retired from Hancock Peanut Company after 38 years of service and was a member of Mount Carmel Christian Church. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia K. Carr and her husband, Billy, of Zuni; two sons, William Nick Kitchen III and his wife, Shara, of Sedley and G.T. ``Bucky'' Kitchen Jr. and his wife, Erma, of Courtland ; one sister, Mary Maciolek of Norfolk; six grandchildren, William Nick Kitchen IV, Robin K. Johnson, Beth K. Stephenson, Phillip G. Carr, Abby Lynn Kitchen and Andrew Y. Kitchen. Mrs. Carr was predeceased by a grandson, Willian Holland Carr III. She is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Amanda Kate Johnson. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. David Hobson. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery , Courtland .
