Obituary of Norma Holloway Cabell NORMA H CABELL Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 16, 2004 Norma Holloway Cabell, wife of 50 years to R. Baird Cabell, died Aug. 15, 2004, at Lake Prince Center in Suffolk, after suffering more than 16 years with Alzheimers Disease. She was born June 12, 1931, to Norman D. and Betty Rainey Holloway in Brunswick County. Surviving are her children, Robert B. Cabell Jr. and wife Cathy of Springfield, Neb., Frank H. Cabell and wife Tammy of Virginia Beach, Betsy C. Wiley and husband Charles of Louisville, Ky. and William S. Cabell of Norfolk. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Angela Cabell, Christina Cabell, Sarah Cabell, Juliana Cabell, Robert B. Cabell III, Joyce Cabell, Frank Tyler Cabell, Benjamin Wiley and Anna Wiley. She was predeceased by siblings, Frank Holloway, Sherman Holloway, Richard Holloway, Edith H. Peace, Drewery "Doc" Holloway, C. Stanley Holloway and Betty Barker Holloway. Norma was a homemaker and for more than 50 years a very active member of Franklin Presbyterian Church, where she was a former deacon and an elder, a former pianist and member of the choir, a Sunday school teacher and a member of the local Presbyterian Women in which she served as president. She was honored by the local Presbyterian Women by being made a life member. She was a former president of the Franklin Womans Club and a den mother for the Cub Scouts. Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Franklin Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Edward Boyce officiating with interment afterward in Poplar Spring Cemetery .
