Obituary of RUSSELL TILLSON COBB RUSSELL TILLSON COBB Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, March 25, 2002 SUFFOLK - Russell Tillson Cobb, 75, of the 200 block of S. Main St., died March 23, 2002, in Nansemond Pointe. He was a native of Isle of Wight County, Va., the son of the late William Alfred Cobb and Indiana Barrett Cobb. He retired as a carpenter foreman, having worked with the Virginia Department of Transportation for 24 years. He was also a retired carpenter. He was a member of Wilroy Baptist Church and was a member of the XYZ 1 Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Zuni Hunt Club. He was predeceased by two brothers, Warren Cobb and Raby Cobb. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Gillette H. Cobb of Suffolk; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda C. and Whit Oliver, Janis C. and Mark Greene, Patsy C. and Randy Tew, all of Suffolk; son and daughter-in-law, R. Wayne and Kathy Jo Cobb of Zuni, Va.; grandchildren, Kriston Cobb, Russ Greene, Kelsey Greene and Jacob Oliver; brother, John P. Cobb and wife Dorothy of Zuni, Va.; sisters-in-law, Edith Cobb of Ivor, Va., and Pauline Cobb of Zuni, Va. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sidney F. Harrell Chapel of Harrell & Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Carter Dey and the Rev. Jonathan Palmer. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, and other times at the residence of the daughter, 2971 Archers Mill Road.
