Frances Ferguson Butler, 49, of 28018 Colosse Road, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 1995, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk. 

Mrs. Butler was born in Suffolk and was a nurses assistant. She attended Colosse Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her husband, Jeffery L. Butler; one daughter, Joy Butler of Carrsville; two sisters, Carolyn F. Boykin of Franklin and Cynthia F. Thurman of Newport News; her mother, Pearl Harris Ferguson of Newport News; her mother-in-law, Altha Butler of Carrsville; her brother-in-law and his wife, Jerry and Ellen Butler of Carrsville. 

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1995, at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Ronald Wiley. The burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
