Mrs. Butler was a native of Bertie County, N.C., and was the daughter of the late John and Mary Conner Minton. Mrs. Butler's parents died when she was a child and she was reared by her late uncle and aunt, Henry and Lela Williams. She was the widow of Samuel O. Butler Sr. Mrs. Butler was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and its Faithful Workers Sunday School class and Garland Moore Circle. Survivors include three sons, Samuel O. Butler Jr. and his wife, Giva, William Lester Butler, Marvin M. Butler and his wife, Edna; a grandson, Ronald M. Butler and his wife, Bonnie, all of Franklin; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Dr. Richard Peerey and the Rev. George Tommy Mitchell. The burial will be at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery.
