Charlie Watkins Bulls, 89, of 19117 Black Creek Road, died Wednesday, March 30, 1994, in his home. 

Mr. Bulls was a lifelong resident of Southampton County and was the son of the late Irvin and Margaret Pond Bulls. He was a retired farmer and a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and Black Creek Hunt Club. 

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Powell Bulls; three daughters, Anne B. Gardner of Franklin, Sandra B. Haynie of Eastville and Brenda B. Tolliver of Virginia Beach; two sons, Charles I. Bulls of Franklin and Samuel W. Bulls of Charlottesville, Va.; one sister, Lottye B. Branche of Sedley, Va.; one brother, Eddie N. Bulls of Sedley; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 1994, in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Wayne Underwood. The burial will be at Black Creek Cemetery . The family will receive friends at the residence and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Black Creek Baptist Church.
