Obituary of EMMA COGSDALE BRYANT Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - August 16, 1992 Emma Cogsdale Bryant, 84, of West Ridge Drive, Daleville, died Aug. 14, 1992, in a Roanoke hospital. Mrs. Bryant was born in Newsoms. She was a member of Boykins Baptist Church and the widow of Ernest Bryant. Survivors include a daughter, Vera B. Williams of Goodview; a son, James E. Bryant of Daleville; five sisters, Annie Porter, Clara Bradshaw and Catherine Del-Monte, all of Chesapeake, Mildred Felts of Franklin and Margarett Whitley of New Orleans; two brothers, Willie Cogsdale and Herbert Cogsdale, both of Virginia Beach; and a grandchild. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Beechwood Cemetery by the Rev. Phil Motley. Friends may join the family from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at McDowell Funeral Home.
