She retired as secretary to the director of nursing services after 22 years at Obici Hospital. Mrs. Brown formerly worked at Suffolk Anesthesia Associates for 30 years. She was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church, the Savage Sunday school class and the Magnolia Primetime Singers. Mrs. Brown was a former member of the church's Chancel Choir. Survived by her husband, Robert Eugene Brown; a daughter, Jean B. Stephenson of Richmond; a son, Robert B. Brown of Suffolk; and three grandchildren. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday at Magnolia United Methodist Church by the Rev. Linwood G. Cook. Burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
