Born in Isle of Wight County, she was a daughter of the late Frank Blake and Lizzie T. Turner. She was a retired machine operator with St. Regis Paper Company and was a member of Sedley Baptist Church. She loved fishing from a boat and in the ponds. Survivors include her son, Thomas E. Brown Jr. and wife Helga of Aurora, Colo.; three grandchildren, Thomas Brown , Steve Brown and wife Cynthia, Heidi Pratt and husband Mike; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a .m. at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Armand Jalbert officiating. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and suggest memorials be made to Sedley Baptist Church, 17494 Johnson's Mill Road, Sedley, VA 23878.
