Obituary of M. Kenneth "Ken" Brown MALLORY KENNETH BROWN Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - February 7, 2002 M. Kenneth "Ken" Brown, 77, a native of Poquoson, and a longtime Franklin resident, died Feb. 4, 2002, at his home. The only son of the late Willie and Emma Brown, Ken was a graduate of Poquoson High School, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of High Street United Methodist Church in Franklin. Preceded in death by his wife, Leone R. Brown, he is survived by his daughter, Janet Marie Johnson and husband Robert Lee; two grandsons, Edward Rodney Johnson and Robert Quinn Johnson, all of Herndon, Va.; a number of cousins and a host of friends. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. today at High Street United Methodist Church, 301 West First Ave., Franklin, by the Rev. Edward C. Johnson and 3 p.m. Saturday at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home chapel, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, by the Rev. Milford C. Rollins. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends following both services.
