   SUFFOLK - Ernest Lofton Brown, 81, of the 500 block of Lake Kilby Road, went to be with the Lord on march 21, 2002. He passed away in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.
   A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a retired, self-employed farmer and landscaper. Mr. Brown was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and a founding member of Suffolk Moose Lodge No. 141. He was a U.S. Mary veteran of World War II. He was the son of the late James Arthur Brown and Kitty Lewis Brown. He enjoyed fishing, landscaping and his grandchildren.
   Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Arlene R. Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Janice Arlene and Aubrey Holland; son and daughter-in-law, James Edward Brown Sr. and Linda Spivey Brown.
[Ernest Lofton Brown was buried in  Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk, Virginia. He is listed in Section 8, Block I, Lot 8 of the cemetery alongside Arlene R. Brown.]
