Obituary of Boney Junius Britt BONEY JUNIUS BRITT Daily Press 16 Sept 2003 p C6 DENDRON - Boney Junius Britt, 76, passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, with his family by his side. Born in Southampton County on March 4, 1927, he was a son of the late Percy Lee Britt and Bettie Jane Saunders Britt. Boney worked as a farmer in Surry County most of his life, along with his devoted wife, Fannie Mae Crocker Britt. Besides his wife, he is survived by six sons, Randolph Junius Britt of Surry, Larry Eugene Britt of Elberon, James Allen Britt of Dendron, Walter Dean Britt of Elberon, Michael Wayne Britt of Elberon, Kenneth Lee Britt of Elberon; one daughter, Sheila Britt Necessary of Carrsville; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and a half-sister. He was preceded in death by a grandson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Purviance Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield, with the Rev. Alton Hinson officiating. Burial will follow in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Zuni. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
