Obituary of DELMA Y. BRILEY The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - January 20, 1995 Delma Y. Briley, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1995. He was a native of Pitt County, N.C., and had been a Peninsula resident for 55 years. He was a retired merchant marine seaman. Mr. Briley is survived by a daughter, Mable B. Bagley of Carrollton; two sons, Earl C. Briley of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Ronald L. Briley of Warren, Mich.; two sisters, Eva Dell Mason of Franklin and Effie B. Slagle of Anaheim, Calif.; two brothers, Willie Briley and James Briley, both of Anaheim, Calif.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends in Peninsula Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. A funeral will be held in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. David Hagee of Parkview Church of God. Burial will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin.
