Obituary of Edgar Lewis Bright EDGAR LEWIS BRIGHT Virginian Pilot 12-27-1997 Edgar Lewis Bright, 73, of the 300 block of Causey Ave. died Dec. 26, 1997, in Obici Hospital. A native of Suffolk, he retired as a supervisor at Planters Peanuts after 28 years. He was a member of Woodmen of the World and Suffolk Church of Christ. He was the son of the late John Bright and Bertha Jernigan Bright. Survivors include in his wife, Maggie Hatfield Bright; a stepson, Larry Dale Hatfield of Denver, CO; three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Billy Ray Boyd. Friends may join the family at the residence.
