''Beatrice'' Bridger, 77, of the 4500 block of Desert Road, died Feb. 3, 1997, in Obici Hospital. A homemaker, she was a Chowan County, N.C., native and the widow of James J. Bridger. She was a member of Eureka Baptist Church and the daughter of the late George Thomas and Beatrice Alline Ward Hobbs. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Alline Byrd; grandchildren, Samuel J. Byrd and Deena Cordero, both of Suffolk, and Karen Ward of Corapeake, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Danielle Cordero of Suffolk, Korrine Byrd and Haili Byrd, both of Yorktown, and Katrina Ward of Corapeake; nephews, Edward Hobbs and Jerry Hobbs, both of Suffolk. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Cameron Currin. Burial will be in Cypress Chapel Christian Church. Friends may join the family in the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and at other times in the residence.
