Mr. Brantley was a native of Southampton County and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Cross of Suffolk and Irene Brantley of Zuni; three brothers, Calvin M. Brantley of Zuni, Alfred W. Brantley of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Floyd W.
