BRANCH The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - December 4, 1993 Lillian Maie Branch, 98, a lifelong resident of Ivor, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1993, at Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. Miss Branch was born in Ivor, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Sarah Lane Branch. She graduated from Ivor High School in 1912 and was a graduate of Virginia Intermont College. She worked as a librarian at Ivor High School, was employed by the Norfolk Post Office and then at Little Creek Amphibious Base until she retired in 1966. She was the oldest member of Ivor United Methodist Church. She is survived by nine nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Ivor Cemetery by the Rev. Charles Rowley. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is handling arrangements.
