A native of Nansemond County, she was a daughter of the late Modjeska Alphonso and Grace Taylor Griggs. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband, Paul Kirk Brady; a daughter, Maribeth B. Zedd of Virginia Beach; a son, Paul Kirk Brady Jr. of Richmond; three sisters, Mildred G. Cross and Barbara G. Griggs of Suffolk, Eloise G. Maciejewski of Brunswick, Maine; and four grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. John's Cemetery by the Rev. M. Webster Maughan.
