Born in Southampton County, he was a son of the late Jeptha J. and Nancy Blythe Bradshaw and the widower of Bessie Edwards Bradshaw. Mr. Bradshaw retired from Cobb's Esso and Franklin 76 Service and was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn B. Fowler and husband McCoy and Nancy B. Bridges and husband Warren, all of Franklin; three brothers, the Rev. Melvin J. Bradshaw and wife Jean of South Boston, James Murray Bradshaw and wife Madeline of Gates, N.C., and J.J. Bradshaw and wife Jean of Holland; and sister-in-law, Marie Bradshaw of Norfolk. He was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Robinson and two brothers, Robert and Bernard Bradshaw. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. A. Richard Childress and the Rev. Sharon James officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home and suggests memorials be made to Franklin Baptist Church, 208 N. High St., Franklin, VA 23851.
