Obituary of Charles Edward Bradshaw CHARLES EDWARD BRADSHAW Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, April 18, 2002 FRANKLIN - Charles Edward Bradshaw, 78, died April 17, 2002, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born in Southampton County, he was one of 12 children of the late Charlie and Annie Lee Johnson Bradshaw. An Army veteran of World War II, he worked in Roll Finishing at Union Camp and was a battery truck driver. He was a member of Franklin Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Louise Via Bradshaw; two sons, Charles Wayne Bradshaw and wife Tracy of Franklin and A. Tony Bradshaw and wife Cathy of Boykins; a brother, Junius Bradshaw and wife Freda of Franklin; six grandchildren, Shannon Cutting, Amy Bradshaw, C.W. Bradshaw II, Mark Bradshaw, Chad Bradshaw and Rusty Bradshaw; eight great-grandchildren, Kevin, Amber, Heather and Hunter Cutting, Rhiannon Griffith, Brittney, Cody and Jessie Bradshaw. He was predeceased by a brother, Willie Bradshaw. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Cecil Deel officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Southampton Memorial Park . The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of Wayne and Tracy Bradshaw, 23073 Homestead Lane, Franklin.
