Born in Nansemond County, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Nola Lawrence March and the widow of Otis M. Blythe. She was retired from St. Regis Paper Company, a former manager of Ben Franklin Department Store, and a member of the Franklin Church of God. Survivors include a daughter, Katherine B. "Kitty" Denson; a granddaughter, Angela K. Denson, both of Franklin; a sister, Mary Virginia Johnson of Carrsville; and two brothers, Will F. March of Hampton and Thomas F. March of Virginia Beach. Mrs. Blythe was predeceased by six brothers, Johnny, George, Dalton, David, Reuben and Bradshaw March; a sister, Edna Cleaver; and a son-in-law, Jack Denson. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Southampton Memorial Park with the Rev. Howard L. Vinson Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at Kitty's home, 147 Bobwhite Lane, Franklin.
