Joseph Harwood "HiBall" Blythe, 76, of Country Club Road, died Saturday, July 16, 1994. 

Mr. Blythe was a lifelong resident of Southampton County and was the son of the late James Robert and Nettie Joyner Blythe. He was a member of Hunderdale United Church of Christ. 

Survivors include six sisters, Kate B. Saunders, Bernice B. Dunn, Leola B. Atkins, Rebie B. Harrison and Marjorie B. Cobb, all of Franklin, and Frances B. Clements of Spring Grove; and one brother, Ashby Blythe of Norfolk. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 1994, in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. James X. Camak. Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
