The Virginian-Pilot (Norfolk, VA) - August 30, 1993 Edward Ryan Bissett Jr., 46, a resident of Lake Point Road, Suffolk, Va., died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1993, at his home. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and was a former mechanic at Lipton Tea Company and Smithfield Packing Co. and was currently employed at Pioneer Paving Co., Richmond. He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Zuni, and was a 1966 graduate of Windsor High School. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jamerson Bissett, a daughter, Ashley Skye Bissett and a son, Chris Ryan Bissett, all of Suffolk; his mother, Marjorie Lewis Bissett of Zuni; a sister, Carolyn B. Cobb of Suffolk; his mother-in-law, Shirley Gray Byrum of Suffolk. He was son of the late Edward Ryan Bissett. A funeral service will be held in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 1993, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Richard Park. Burial will be in Antioch Church Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Bethany Presbyterian Church Building Fund or to the Peninsula Psychiatric Hospital.
