She was a native of Sussex County, Virginia. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Issac "Ike" Milton Benton. She was a member of Great Fork Baptist Church and the Sunday School Class. She was the daughter of the late Mary Pearl Barrett and George Faison. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Melvin Harvey Turner; a daughter, Betty Jean Moorefield; a sister, Eunice Hatfield; and brothers, Mills Faison, Daniel Faison, Glen Faison and Samuel Faison. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, L. Ann and Corkey Owens, Kathy I. Turner, Brenda Faye and Bill Kizer, all of Suffolk and Sandra Benton and Paul Heeren of Sedley, Va.; sons and daughters-in-law, Melvin H. and Linda Turner of Fairhope, Ala., and Milton D. and Amy Benton of Suffolk; nine grandchildren, Carlton, Crystal, Ronnie, Amy, Michelle, Richard, Nicole, Mia and Autumn; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Pulley of Franklin, Va., and Rose Atkins of Moyock, N.C.; brothers, James Faison of Emporia, Va., and Albert Faison of Franklin, Va. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and other times at the residence of L. Ann and Corkey Owens, 1532 Forest Glen Circle, Suffolk, VA 23434. A funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Dolan Talbert at the funeral home. Interment will be at Great Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
