A native of Franklin, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Virginia D. Cooper and the widow of Loe Ellie Bassett. Mrs. Bassett was a retired credit manager for the dental office of Edwards, Dodson, Rawlings and Falls. She was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church. Mrs. Bassett is survived by a large extended family and many dear friends. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Lafayette Wilkins. Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
