Susie Babb Bartholomew, 77, a retired registered nurse, died March 16, 1993, in Riverside Regional Medical Center. 

Mrs. Bartholomew was born in Courtland, Va. She was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church and was an alumna of Riverside Hospital School of Nursing. 

Survivors include her husband, Curtis M. Bartholomew Sr. of Newport News; a son, Max Bartholomew Jr. of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Mildred Strickler of Hampton, Irma Rawlings of Courtland and Mary K. Greig of Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers, William M. Babb of Suffolk and Ben F. Babb of Courtland; and three grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Riverside Funeral Home by the Rev. Jack Lynch. The family will receive friends after the service. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Riverview Cemetery, Courtland, by the Rev. Tommy Lee. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Morrison United Methodist Church, 236 Harpersville Road, Newport News, Va. 23601 or to the Courtland Rescue Squad.
