Mary E. Babb, 86, died Nov. 12, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. 
Ms. Babb was born Sept. 30, 1915, in Sebrell, Va., to the late Vernon Thomas and Nannie Simms Babb. 
She is survived by a sister, Nancy Babb Sewell of Norfolk; and several nieces and nephews. 
She was predeceased by five brothers, George, Howard, Herbert, Cecil and David Babb; three sisters, Ruby Babb Birkett, Alma Babb Norris and Betty Ann Babb. 
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Franklin Baptist Church Sunday at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Franklin Baptist Church Building Fund, 208 N. High St., Franklin, VA 23851.
