Mrs. Babb was born in Southampton County. She was the widow of Robert Lee Babb. She was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church and Young of Heart Club. 

Survivors include a daughter, Ann G. Jones of Midlothian; two stepdaughters, Margaret Harell of Richmond and Gertrude B. Sexton of Emporia; a stepson, Robert W. Babb of Jarratt; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Allen G. Reiffnyder and the Rev. Thomas G. Lee. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery . Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home. 

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
