Ayers; one daughter, Lee Catherine Ayers Falcone of Portsmouth; one son, Thomas Clark Ayers of Franklin; his mother, Ova Lee Sharrock Ayers of Franklin; and two stepdaughters, Michelle B. Butt of Virginia Beach and Mary-Margaret Bittle of Richmond. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Edmund Pickup and the Rev. Webster M.
