John Dunkley was born in 1715.
John Dunkley died in 1748.
John Dunkley left a will in Southampton County.
John Dunkley married Catherine Joyner, daughter of Thomas Joyner, in Isle of Wight County in 1740.
John had a brother, Moses, who inherited the Dunkley Plantation after Cathrine Dunkley's death.
Moses had son Ralph named in Cathrine Dunkley's will to whom she left Hodge's Plantation.
The information I have on our family is that John and Moses were brothers and their father was John Dunkley of King and Queen County, VA. who later moved to Brunswick. John was indeed married to Catherine Joyner and Moses was married to Martha (no last name). Moses and Martha had 3 children: John, Robert, and Ralph. Ralph never married but was named in Catherine Joyner Dunkley's will as nephew, the son of Moses Dunkley.
