Shiloh was the name given to an old Methodist church which was once located northeast of Windsor, Va. Old maps show it to be in the Indika VA community. Today, all that remains is the church cemetery located off Sholoh Road near Five Forks.
The Shiloh Methodist Church built a parsonage for their minister in Windsor in 1893. In an effort to bolster up its declining membership, the decision was made to relocate the church to nearby Windsor on the property adjacent to their parsonage.
In 1906, they moved the building to Church Street, where it remained for about fifty years until it was torn down and the land sold. Today, is no Methodist church in the Windsor area (the nearest being Woodland Methodist Church) and the site of the original Shiloh Church is marked by a fairly large cemetery (which remains in good condition thanks to the care of the Presson family who lives adjacent to the site).
The grave markers in Shiloh Cemetery were documented in 2007 by Alexander Bischoff, Cory DeFreitas, Ben Delton, Brittany Evans, Daniel Evans, Michael Henderson, Chaz Hornbaker, Jeff Irwin, David Robertson, Peyton Robertson and John C. Lotz and have been uploaded to findagrave. There was only one completely unreadable marker. For more information on this cemetery contact John C. Lotz.
